Clean hands are the single most important factor in preventing the spread of germs.
This will become even more importantwhen another pandemic strikes.
Even though people generally know this compliance to hand washing is VERY poor.

WHY IS COMPLIANCE POOR?
Washing hands takes to long -“I’m too busy"
It dries out hands - “My hands look like a brickies labourer”
You have to find a washroom, soap and towels - “The soap and towels are never there anyway”
Only dirty people carry germs -“I’m clean”
Everyone needs some germ activity to stay healthy -“I don’t care”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

*What Is The Difference Between Germstar & Other Alcohol Based Hand Sanitisers?
Many products on the market are 60-65% ethanol based.
Studies indicate a far superior killing activity of 70% isopropanol. In addition Germstar does not leave a residue on the skin surface which is typically associated with gel products. Finally, the Germcontrol dispensing system is unique.

*Will Germstar Dry My Skin?
No. Germstar contains a natural emollient.
Studies from NSW Health show that participants using soap and water reported asignificant increase in dryness cracking and irritation in hands after 2 weeks, whereas those using alcohol based hand rubreported significant improvement in skin condition and dryness.
These self reported results were supported by epidermal watercontent analysis.

What Is The Active Ingredient In Germstar?
The active ingredient is 70% Isopropanol Alchol (BP grade).

Is Germstar Approved By the Australian Health Dept?
Germstar has NICNAS (Department of Health and Ageing Australian Government) Approval No CIA-064, as an Antibacterial Skin Product.

Does Germstar Have A Shelf Life?

How Does The Cost Compare With Soap, Water & Towels?
Costs of a standard hand wash are estimated at between 14 and 25 cents per wash. Using Germstar reduces cost to between 2.5 and3.75 cents for a more effective and true sanitising wash.

How Long Will A Cartridge of Germstar Normally Last?
The dispenser is preset to deliver 1 ml of solution per activation. Atthis level, it provides 1,000 applications. The dispenser can beadjusted to deliver from 1/2ml (for a preschool, for example) to up 6mls. How long a bladder lasts will depend on how many people use it.

What Is The Power Source For The Touchless Dispenser?
The dispenser requires four ‘D’ type alkaline batteries. Since a very small amount of power is used, batteries last up to 40,000 activations. 80% of germs are spread by means of the hands A significant number of people (up to 60%) do not wash their hands after the toilet, after playing with pets, before preparing food Even if you did wash your hands..chances are the person you just shook hands with didn’t
